  5. Microway's Numeric Data Processor NDP-486 is a globally optimised native code
  6. compiler which operates in protected mode under UNIX. The upper limit on
  7. segment size in linear address mode is four gigabytes. This makes it possible
  8. to port mainframe applications to your 80386 or 80486 systems. These compilers
  9. are ideal for serious programmers who write numerically intensive applications
  10. that address large arrays. When used to re-compile existing 16-bit programs,
  11. execution speed increases of up to seven times can be achieved. NDP Pascal-486
  12. implements the ANSI/IEEE standard 770X3.97-1983, which is a superset Niklaus
  13. Wirth's Pascal. It includes several extensions from Berkeley 4.2 BSD Pascal and
  14. the British Standards Institutes (BSI) Level O, a preprocessor, separate
  15. compilation of modules, and interfaces to the Microway C library.
